Shige Suganuma's Moon Machine
If you have had the pleasure of meeting Shige Suganuma, owner of MOONEYES USA, you will come to realize that he’s a genuine person that lives and breathes our culture. Shige took control of MOONEYES in the early 90’s and continues Dean Moon’s legacy with great products and events. The MOONEYES X-mas Party Show & Drag and the Hot Rod Custom Show in Yokohama, Japan are two events that bring custom cars and motorcycles together in harmony.
Shige is a fan of CB750s but stepped out of the box to have Lucas Joyner from The Factory Metal Works build him this sweet 650 Triumph. Lucas creates vintage motorcycles using his products from his well known brand, TFMW.

Any building or riding story or info you'd like to include: Shige approched me in May of 2012 about building him a bike for the MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show which meant my deadline was September for delivery to Los Angeles. I've never done a bike in 4 months especially one of this caliber but this was a chance of a lifetime. Shige and I corresponded about the bike via email and it was his paint design with Bill Carter doing the final paint on the tins. Mooneyes sent a trailer to pick it up and I was bolting the handlebars on it as they arrived. I rode it maybe a mile before they picked it up so its maiden voyage for me was during the Mooneyes video shoot in Japan.
