Jeff Spaid's "Shitty Glitter"

A couple months later, I was talking with my friend Shawn. He was telling me about his barber’s pan and that I might be interested in shooting it. As he described the bike, I began to connect the dots. Interrupting Shawn I yelled, “Shitty Glitter!” I got Jeff’s information from Shawn and started planning what I wanted to do for the shoot. I even called Jeff and let him know I was interested in shooting his bike. Nearly a year has passed since then. With the ideas swirling in my head, I even stocked up on some fireworks over the last 4th of July. But life happens. Within that time span, we have each had children and our time is suddenly divided in many different ways. In that time, ‘Shitty Glitter’ even got a heart transplant. Sometimes good things take time. I’m just glad I finally got to shoot it.

Owner name, location: Jeff Spaid, Yucaipa, CA
ChopCult profile: spaidpan65
Engine/tranny, year and make, model, modifications: 1967 74" shovelhead with a Mallory Unilite and Cycle Electric reg. 4-speed ratchet top set up with jockey shift, low compression kicks like a dream.

Frame/Rake: Early Paughco with neck modifications, cutting tabs, adding tabs. Gotta get around to molding it one of these days.
Front End: D and D Burbank twisted 10" over stock narrow springer it's bent to hell up on the spring stay but it boogies down the road well enough.

Tire/wheel size and style: 21" single ball spool up front, 18" mid star out the rear.
Favorite thing about this bike: It's mine and it's always been good and solid to me. Trucking every day and all over the place, it's always put smiles for miles on me.

Next modification will be a Freddy Hernandez 10" over narrow rigid front end up front.

Thanks to my beautiful wife Cristi and my amazing daughter Maddie, I love you girls so much! My dad for giving me the bike bug at an early age, I love ya! To all my buds I ride with and who have helped me, Mick Evangelista (Mick’s Chop Shop), Shawn Donahue (Bronsonville), thanks for the good times, dream chasin’, and memories! Here's to many more! Cheers! -Jeff
