Spenser Thomason's 1974 Shovelhead Chopper

This week's shovelhead was built by Spenser Thomason of Birmingham, Alabama. At last spring's Dixie Roundup Larry Pierce and friends bestowed "Best in Show" accolades on this machine and lavished its owner with decadent prizes from a cavalcade of co-sponsors. Spenser told me via email that his show winner is now for sale. Consider this CC feature a classified ad for the machine that wowed the crowd at GarCo's hillbilly soiree.

If you have questions about this bike that aren't answered by the paltry specs shown, please bombard Spenser with emails here. It's not ChopCult policy to help dudes sell their bikes on our home page, but we're making an exception for Spenser because I was drunk on mooneshine when I met him, and his story sounded sincere.

A word of advice to builders whose bikes we select for future CC features: please help us educate and entertain fellow members by providing as much info as possible. We ask the same questions of every bike owner, but their responses run the gamut from more than we need to less than a speck. Bike features are the most popular content on ChopCult, so we try hard to make them as informative as possible. Thanks, good luck and have fun!
