Scotty Stopnik and the Cycle Zombies 1964 Panhead
There’s no hidden secret that I love every motorcycle that comes out of the Cycle Zombie compound. These guys seem to know what they want and always find the parts to get the job done. The Cycle Zombies also share the bike-building duties between father, Big Scott Stopnik and his sons, Scotty, Turk, Tyler, and their cousin, Chase. If you’re ever at the So-Cal Cycle Swap Meet, you notice the Cycle Zombies are usually the first to be on location. They scour the swap for the hidden treasures and never go home empty-handed. They can spot a deal from their skateboards before the next guy has time to wipe the sleep from his eyes. I was thrilled to watch Scotty’s latest build come to life via Instagram and felt like I hit the lotto when Scotty asked if we could feature it here. I hope you enjoy Yellow Fever as much as I do.

Bike name: Yellow Fever
Engine, year and make, model, modifications: 1964 Harley Davidson FL Panhead Frame: Harley wishbone frame Fork: HD big twin springer
Chassis mods: Frame is currently stock raked
Tire/wheel size and style: 19’ rear starhub wheel with Firestone tire 19x4.50 tire. The front wheel is 21’ starhub wheel with Avon Speedmaster 21x3.00.
Favorite thing about this bike: It starts first kick
Next modification will be: Ride it
Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc.: Old paint by Chase Stopnik, Lee clutch pedal, CZ handlebars, Bates seat and p-pad, chrome Wassel tank with paint and pinstriped, I guess it’s just a throwback to the junk they were doing back in the day, less-is-more kinda feel.
Any building or riding story or info you'd like to include: My Pops, Big Scott, and I built this bike, in a couple of months, not every day but just when we had free time. I wanted to do a yellow-painted frame with everything else chrome and have some flames on the tank, nothing crazy just a bad ass 60’s-style chopper. It came out pretty bitchin’ and just being in the shop with my pops, fighting, laughing, eating, loving throughout this build is priceless.
Now it’s time to put some miles on it and enjoy the ride.
Thanks to my father Big Scott, the guy’s always down to work on motorcycles, he still thinks he’s 22 years old.
