A while back, I shot my bud Dan Warner’s badass Ironhead for issue 33 of Show Class Magazine. Besides the fact that his bike is a piece of work, much like its owner, Dan really brought his best to this shoot. Not only did he provide a bitchin’ location, but props, super model skills, and a hell of a partying crew. After a tripping January day inside an old factory near Philadelphia, I wrote the article and put together the shots for Tim at Show Class. Considering the bike, owner, crew that “assisted” that day and the fact that it was for Show Class, the only way to cap off the process was to celebrate like any proper chopper tools would do…party. With the help of Dan and his buds in Phoenixville, we found a rocking little corner bar unsuspecting enough to let us have it there. Given the fact that the annual Spring AMCA Oley Swap Meet was the same weekend and only a few miles away, we were lucky enough to have a good group of locals and out-of-towners show up to celebrate the release. Tim was cool enough to provide some badass SC giveaways to support the cause.
“The point of life is to achieve happiness. Happiness is achieved by love and fun. Love and fun, for me is my family, friends, and motorcycles. I am still thrilled with the turnout of the party we had and hope everyone had a great time. When two Dans get together to do something it's gonna be good and this was no exception. Can't go wrong with a bar that has cheap Highlife, choppers, and work truck burnouts. Huge thanks to everyone involved! If you went and didn't have a good time , you must not like fun!” – Dan Warner
In the same issue of Show Class, I wrote and shot an article featuring my bud Zack Harnish’s 1956 Panhead, “The Frying Pan”. Originally built by Jeremiah of Love Cycles in Phoenix, AZ, this sick build is now a neighbor of mine in Lancaster County, PA. Zack was cool enough to haul it out on a winter night to an unfinished building in Lancaster so I could shoot it for issue 33.
Huge thanks to Show Class for giving me this opportunity to exploit these sick bikes in their Classy publication. Copies of issue 33 are still available at http://www.showclassmag.com/show-class-mag/issue-33.html. Of course, big thanks to both Dan and Zack for their time and patience with the process.
