Focus: Backroad BBQ Run

Taking place in Trenton, NC, The Backroad BBQ Run marks the start of chopper season for many of us in the Carolinas. The Run will take place May 12-14, 2023, and will be the sixth year that Luke and Ronni Woolard will be hosting the event on thirty acres of eastern NC soil.

( Luke, Ronnie, and Panhead Jim)

Inspired by The Twin Rivers Chopper Campout, Luke said he wanted to put together an event in his neck of the woods where people could ride, camp, and have a great time for a few days. The Backyard BBQ Run includes free beer thanks to PBR, an hour-long group ride, and all the partying that a healthy liver can handle. With over three hundred folks attending last year, the event was a blast.

There are many big surprises in the works for the upcoming one, but Luke’s keeping them under wraps until the plans are nailed down. You do have to pay to attend, with some of the proceeds going to Veterans groups and people needing help in the community. He said that they always have a couple of things that don’t go as planned, but thanks to the support of Kenneth, who owns the location, and the chopper community, it always goes smoothly during the event. If you want to see some cool bikes, meet some cool people, and party in the true country, check this one out.

Special thanks to Luke and Ronnie for hosting a killer event, Chateau Printing, Gorgeous George, Panhead Jim, ChopCult, Custom Destruction, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and all the friends and supporters that have made this AWESOME event happen. Check out the Backroad BBQ Run's website for complete information and give them a follow on Instagram! Thanks,Travis
