Zen Of Neato

Originally created as place to post stories and images from my yearly motorcycle travels, it quickly transformed into an outlet for thoughts, images and ideas that focus on something bigger.  The Zen of Neato, or the ZON, is my cozy little corner of the web.  With a healthy lean towards the old stuff and a   dash of tangy Bonneville salt, there is always a fresh post waiting to be enjoyed.  Stop on by and take a look around - and don't forget to say hello.

A little bit about "Diesel" - born and raised in Detroit and (much like us all) keen on anything with a motor and wheels. With one of the big three in his backyard (literally) it did not take long for him to figure out a way to merge his love of art and machines into a good way for a gear head with a paint set to make a living.  Owned a truck or car from Henry's place in the last ten years?  Chances are Diesel had his hands in it - or rather on it shaping it's curves and proportions. Motorcycles and bikes were always there from the git go. A million years ago he experienced the "Loveless" at a rundown ex-porn theater downtown and became hooked on the ancient Milwaukee iron.  He averages about 30k miles a year in the saddle and has been bit HARD by the salt bug at Bonneville some years back.  When he's not tweaking his LSR bike "The BonnePan", he can be found conjuring up the Good Doctor who helps him purge out posts at a frightening frequency.  Stop by soon, butch is bleeding pretty bad and I'm almost out of ammo...

Sisters Golden Hair #14

God Bless those tom boys out there...

Daytona PT.2 Vintage Road Racing

Jay's baby. He had two of these just waiting for him.
The Boozefighters entry.
Gene & Jay.
I wish Gene would have let me keep it in the back of my truck and take it home...
Goerge Wills early mount looking good in the under the floridian sky.
The Rickman.
If the bike wasn't cool enough his hat is also kicking.
Lightweight duc.
I'm lusting after one of these for Bonneville. When you have a pit bike you have officailly arrived.
The Cal Rayborn Trophey with our man Art's name written all over it.
Mike's trick little KR. He went by me on the banking like I was nailed to it.
The buisness end.
The usual suspects.
Art and Lynn road accross from the West Coast to watch a race Art was supposed to be in. Unfortunatley the gremlins got to his motor in Georgia the weekend before.

KRTT

Been looking for a cheap sporty type bike lately. I've always wanted to approach a new hand me down sportster with this type of KRTT aesthetic in mind. Something to blast around on that likes the corners. That could work......

The Dude Abides.

Finally...our man takes one home. If you have not seen it yet Crazy Heart was pretty darn good and worth the time.
