Gary Griffin

Failed rockstar, virtuoso grass blade whistler, obsessive-compulsive, bender of light, heat-seeker, caffeine-addicted, sleep-deprived, redheaded boy genius. My shots have appeared in DicE magazine, The Horse, Greasy Kulture, Hot Bike, Street Chopper, Easyriders, Ol' Skool Rodz, Car Kulture Deluxe, Garage magazine, Iron Horse, Sideburn, M-80 and Hardcore Choppers Japan. I am available for car and bike feature shoots, as well as products, interiors and environmental portraits. I view cars and bikes as functional art and enjoy bringing well-deserved attention to the builders/artists as seen through my smudged lens. My current project is "Idle Hands," a monograph celebrating the last true American art form. Documenting the artists and their creations, as well as their environments. The innovators, as opposed to the imitators. my personal search for the lost art of authenticity. I travel light, wake up early and always leave a decent tip.

thanks, adam!

adam wright included a few shots of mine in his latest, most excellent, book.

anything that rolls...

i have been tapped to act as a consultant on a new tv show
being produced here called, "anything that rolls".

if you have a shop and you want to be featured on the show,
or in your garage working on a bike or car project,
or are finished and in need of a sweet photo shoot...send me an email.

specifically, i would like to find someone local who is grinding away on a project for round up.
we would follow your progress and make the trip to ATX.

stash co.

got a good write-up from a new client.
not m/c related, but sort of...

yeah!

shovel-decker...

where the hell am i?

...i am alive and well.

thanks for all the curious emails and texts...
moved in to a new place.
physically, and all else.
been shooting a lot of crappy iphone pics like the one of my new sitting room, above.
taking things slow...listening to lots of vinyl.
love the sound on my new turntable, but really enjoy the ritual of putting the needle in the groove...and then getting up 22 minutes later to flip the wax.

staying busy with commercial shoots, and a few select bikes and projects
involving some close friends.
taking my "work" in some new directions, i hope.

as for "idle hands"...
it will be available in hardcover and softcover on blurb in the coming weeks.
i will post a link here, and here when it comes out of the oven.
