I know its not called Cafe Cult, so save your hate mail. Around here we like lots of bikes, even the occasional canyon carver like this sweet Thrux. Terry Whitehurst, better known on here as Temecula Terry is often chopper-curious, and might build one here or there, but always goes back to his main slice - this sweet modern trumpet. That's probably because Terry is one of those dudes that likes to ride as much as talk and one thing you can count on a modern Triumph to do is deliver miles of smiles. A few performance mods in there to make things interesting, a healthy dose of aesthetic makeover and it's a whole different machine.
Engine, year and make, model: 2006 Triumph Thruxton
Frame: Stock - slimmed and trimmed
Chassis mods: Shit, Showered n Shaved
Tire/wheel size and style: Stock front, bigger in the back - excel rim upgrades. I run Bridgestone Battleaxe in the back and Avon VP2 in the front - seems like a good marriage...
Favorite thing about this bike: Makes me smile
Next modification will be: Flatslide Carbs.
Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc: Custom Tank from Richard Phelps at TabII classics, Aftermarket Thruxton Glass bubble seat that was cut, shaved and hacked from Airtech, The upholstery was done by my local secret guy that I brought a picture to of the most ghey looking Italian shoes that I could find and had him copy it; other than that - All kinds of stuff!
Thanks to: My good friend Wompy for his wiring skills and custom foot pegs, Dutch over at Airtech for making me glass and dealing with my rants, Racer Root for the everlasting paint job, and all my good friends for drinking my beer like the lushes they are...
I enjoy this bike for its simplicity because thats what it is...its meant to be ridden!
