The second Grass Valley Roll In went down in Northern California last July. Despite the 110 degree heat, plenty of riders came from as far away as Las Vegas, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and SoCal to this small town northeast of Sacramento.
The low-key event was hosted by the good folks at Foothill Custom Cycles and Goodtimes Skateshop in Grass Valley. Emerica sponsored an epic session on the skate ramp that was there for the event. Maria's Taco trailer dished out the grub, and there were plenty of beers and a great raffle with loads of free stuff. The NorCal chopper scene was well represented by five or ten different groups of people who rode in from all direction to get down for the weekend.
After the GV Roll In and a quick dip in the Yuba River to wash the road off, a large group went to an after-party and campout at Suzie Vasco's, the sister of the late, great Johnny Chop. Suzie's crew hosted a luau pig baked in a pit of Grass Valley soil. With plenty of yard space for camping, the taking and partying went well into the night. Thanks to Gus, Ryan, Suzie and everyone else for putting this together!
Thanks to Holly Anderson for her story and photos
