Foundry Moto: Barrio Speedwagon II

Love 'em or hate 'em, the guys at Foundry Moto can build a sweet motorcycle. Chris, Robbie and the crew invited us to their shop last month for some beer and BBQ, and during the fun we shot this nuts '66 gennie Shovel. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Barrio Speedwagon…

Wild ride! The rake is a bit much for my taste, and I don't understand the appeal of not having a front brake. However, my old lady wouldn't complain about that sissysbar/backrest!

needs more sissy!

Looks like a labor intensive project. Good stuff!

Very trendy.

Cool name.
I wonder if they stole from the guy who had a bike with that name in the Horse 5 years ago like I did or if thats the same bike.

That was an IronHead that we had built that was featured in The Horse... The Shovel is Actually Barrio Speedwagon II

Commented on 2-26-2010 At 10:28 am

Foundry built a really rad ironhead a couple of years ago that
had paint very similar to this shovel. I was riding behind the lil ironhead on the way to SOW & every car that passed had heads turning to get
a looksee at that eye popping paint job.

I usually don't like coffin tanks, but this one looks AMAZING!!! Great job. Great paint. I really like the gold leaf outline. A cool, clean touch. Nice.

Commented on 2-27-2010 At 03:16 pm

Nailed it, right out of the 70's.
The best part of this bike is that so many people hate them...even though their shit is flawless. Chopper posers hate...I love these guys.

Commented on 2-28-2010 At 03:07 pm
