It was a busy weekend in Southern California September 26, with not one but two grassroots chopper shows occurring within miles of each other on the same sunny Sunday afternoon. Billdozer and I attended the Born Free Vintage Bike Show in Orange, CA.

Held in the parking lot of Classic Cycles Inc., Grant and Harpoon's event brought hundreds of cats from LA, SD and OC counties. The vibe at this Freedom Machinery production was chill, with complimentary food and beer flowing courtesy of our friends Tony and Andy Dunn, the father-and-son proprietors of Classic Cycles.

Dozens of industry players big and small donated prizes for the free raffles, and the Born Free crew awarded some great vintage trophies to some equally great vintage iron. When the beer ran out, Tony Dunn personally hit the liquor store to replentish the ice chests. Now that's what I call hospitality. Thanks for hosting a great event.
