Event Coverage: Indian Larry Motorcycles Block Party

This year was quite a change for the annual Indian Larry Grease Monkey Block Party in Brooklyn, NY. With a new shop and location, the feel was different but equally as badass. The neighborhood had a lot going on that weekend, so there was a bigger variety of bikes and riders. The late summer skyline of Manhattan provided an excellent backdrop for the show bikes lined up outside of the retail store and a variety of live bands kept the party mood going. The new store and garage area were set up open house style, so everyone had a chance to check out the new space.

Clearly, a lot of time and attention were put into planning the new location for Indian Larry. The retail store featured everything IL and provided a view into the garage area that had custom murals surrounding the work area. Immortal Ink was set up in the garage to provide some fresh work for those interested. The contest winner announcements were made during a break in the live music. The Aiden Shave Off, a fundraising effort to raise awareness of children that have ALD and a cause close to many in the IL family, also happened during the break. The Smoke and Mirrors Art Show had excellent presentations by Chris Callen, Darren McKeag, Devil Chicken and Dirty Donny. Although the location was new, the Indian Larry crew organized another great day in Brooklyn.

Be sure to follow Indian Larry Motorcycles for updates!

Thanks,

Dan
