February 2010 marked the tenth anniversary of Easyriders' V-Twin Expo. This B2B extravaganza seeks to stimulate commerce at both ends of the chopper trade by giving manufacturers, wholesalers, builders and retailers a one-stop shopping experience for all that is rad, righteous or ridiculous in today's custom market.
ChopCult editors and contributors converged at Paisano Publishing's glitzy affair to see and hear what the industry's biggest and brightest stars have up their sleeve for tomorrow's hard-core custom motorcycle fan. What we saw surprised us, but it didn't seem to phaze the average motorcycle retailer. As we anticipated, baggers, baubles and bullshit dominated the show floor, with cool, affordable parts and accessories for the blue-collar builder barely blipping the radar.
Follow now as we peel back the skin on a very big onion to show you just how desperate beleaguered players in today's bloated and overpriced scene have become. What we captured may bring a tear to your eye.
