CRFyou might be the most loquacious smart ass on ChopCult. If you puruse the Junk Pile, you've probably seen some of his finest works in the Best Quotes thread. Irreverent, witty and unapologetic, CRFyou may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we highly doubt that's his goal. Not only does Branden have a quick wit, he's also built himself a tidy swingarm pre-unit Triumph.
Here's what he's got to say about it:
Bike name:
If I gave you a name, it would only be because I made one up right here and now to look cool and fit in to current trends... That being said; The bike's name is: Super Secret Wizard Racer from Castle Dracula.
Engine, year and make, model, modifications:
650cc. 1959 Triumph Trophy TR-6. People always mention that they have a Lucas Racing Magneto, but I've noticed that steel tag on a lot of bikes, if not all of them with a stock mag. So I'm pretty sure that's not a thing. But if it is, this bike is the killer race-edition. Head was done up by Classic Cycles. I built the engine at .40 over because that's the current bore the cylinders needed to be bored at. TT pipes from Lowbrow. I made custom exhaust mounts from some old Triumph grab bars.
Frame:
Stock- Triumph.
Fork:
Stock- Triumph.
Chassis mods:
None.
Tire/wheel size and style:
19" Stock Triumph up front- Dunlop Gold Seal Tire. 18" Stock Triumph rear- Cheng shin (Don't judge me)
Favorite thing about this bike:
I like the paint on the gas tank panels. Since I can't paint stuff like this, I did a rendering in photoshop and my painter did a great job with it. The atom is inspired by the Strung Out atom(favorite band). I also like the general flow of the bike. I tried to use a mixture of bars, tank, seat and fender setup that would make this bike look like it came out of the late '50's/early 60's.
Next modification will be:
I'm running an Amal 930 because I had one on the shelf and the carb it came with was done. The Monobloc it should have on it is next. As well as a better tail light. The current one is a little boring for me.
Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc:
The levers on it came with a 1950 Triumph project I'm working on. They're pretty cool and judging by the condition of the bike, these were done long before I was born.
Thanks to:
Speaking of Wizard, thanks to Keith Moore of Moore's Cycle Center. There's a reason every Triumph builder knows his name. He knows more about British bikes and all their nuances than I could ever hope to. Also the guys at Classic Cycle; Tony, Andy, Ryan, and Geezer Bob. They're also a good knowledge base and will eat anything you bring in... Anything. And if you buy Tony lunch, you can borrow that special tool you refuse to man up the money for.
Also thanks to everyone that compliments this thing. It validates all my weird ideas and long nights spent in the garage.

This bike shall be refered to as "The Dickskinner" from here on out. -Bill)

The Super Secret Wizard Racer from Castle Dracula is its name! I was being coy because it's the ultimate name in motorcycles.

neato paint, check.
Cool name,check.
I really wanted to like this bike better than I do.
I think It's seeing so much frame out there in front of the tank,
and the too squarish shape of the ctank.
CRFyou
Aye aye, bro. This recruit will ride to Temecula as a squad leader as ordered.
davidabl, that's totally cool. If I managed to build a bike that everyone liked, I'd be the first recruit to do that. The tank was forward more in the beginning, but the petcock wont clear my rocker inspection caps.
