It's safe to say the MoCo's knucklehead is on the dream list of practically every chopper junkie in the world. Sure, the perfectly restored '36-'47 full-fendered machines are gorgeous. How about one with all the gingerbread knocked off, stripped down to the core essentials and just crusty enough to bang around anywhere you please? That describes Hate Fucker Jim's Tucson-built knuckle to a tee, and it is bitchin'.
Engine: 1940 EL Knucklehead
Frame: Early knuckle frame
Fork: VL Springer
Chassis mods: Stock
Tire/wheel size and style: 19" front and rear. Y'know, for wheelies and muddin' and junk
Favorite thing about this bike: Everything! It's a Knucklehead… and the tank is rad! And man, I love kicking this fucker for hours (so fun!)
Next modification will be: Again, changing the seat. Possibly dial it in or something
Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc: Got rid of everything that might be reliable. She's nasty, in a real cool way
Back story: I finished this bike the day before Slab City Riot. The ride to SoCal was the break-in and first ride, so everything went horribly wrong. The magneto was the big problem. We worked on it all Saturday morning! I finally got it fired up and rode it to the party, then worked on it some more at the event. Sunday it made it most of the way home. Easily the most epic ride of my life. I've been riding the dog shit out of the stupid knucklehead for the past week, and I'm lovin' it!
Thanks: To my wife for putting up with my shit. I love you, Niff. The Hate Fuckers, Fastlane Tattoo in Arizona, Sammy Slow Jams, RJ at Precision V-Twin, Robert Hernandez in Phoenix
