2015: The Year in Reverse

As we say goodbye to 2015, we look back at another great year. 2015 marks my third year at the helm and it's been quite enjoyable, to say the least. The site remains strong, and we've welcomed over 12,000 new members throughout the year. This tells me that we are doing something right. By “we” I mean me and the awesome team I've had the distinct pleasure of working with. Jason, Bear, Dan, Jay, Virginia, JDAllen, Brandon, Jeff, Michael, Kim, Steve, Ryan, Brian, Mikey, Brewdude, KevinKen, Twila, Johnathon, Junco, and Jacob, thanks for your contribution and support. I've enjoyed working with each one of you and you've helped ChopCult move forward as well. During 2015, became mobile-friendly thanks to the site owners. So no matter what device you use we'll be here for you!

My goals for 2016 are to keep the site relevant, obtain good content, continue to create a welcoming atmosphere in the forums, and grow our social media presence. ChopCult will continue to knock on the doors of small shops, support grassroots and like-minded events, welcome new members, and support our community. Keep in mind that there are hundreds of threads that can help you solve any problem you're currently dealing with. We have numerous members willing to offer solid advice without bashing you for asking a question. Basically, the forums are yours to use and we try not to moderate unless needed. If you're not sure of the website rules please take a moment to review them. No matter what type of bike you like, there's probably a thread with your name on it. If not, start one and show your fellow members what you have going on this winter. You can also find inspiration through our gallery section, which features hundreds of bikes. Most modifications usually require parts which can be found in the classified section. As a member, you can also post your motorcycle-related parts, please do not post more than three posts a day and never send funds as a gift through Paypal. We appreciate every member who follows these rules on a daily basis. As a common courtesy, we've been sending out weekly newsletters showcasing the latest classified listings.

In a 2011 email newsletter, the previous owners wrote, “Pay It Forward.” The information and entertainment ChopCult members glean from this free website would not be possible without the generous support from a growing number of very progressive and dedicated entrepreneurs. Every banner ad that appears on ChopCult costs some hard-working businessman money, and when you click on that banner to buy the products he sells, you are making a significant contribution to the modern chopper ecosystem. We appreciate the generosity of ChopCult advertisers, and they appreciate your business.” These words remain true today; ChopCult remains free because of the advertisers. That's why you see ongoing support through ChopCult's social media platform today. It’s our way of thanking and supporting them as they have supported If the advertisers benefit from ChopCult's social media promotion, then our efforts have been successful. I feel the same way about every event ChopCult has sponsored during 2015. By offering free ads on the site and additional social media blasts, CC has helped every event attain a unique following and attendees. The whole premise is to bring like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts together. We've continued to stand together as a community through our #chopcultaaa program, which has helped many stranded riders get back on the road. ChopCult followers have also helped recover many stolen bikes by spreading the word through social media. Nothing's more enjoyable than watching total strangers put down the remote and help a fellow rider out. I think it speaks volumes in today's "take" society and I applaud everyone that has helped along the way. There are many times that we can't help everyone and would suggest that you get yourself a BAM Card from Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. This free card offers you FREE nationwide roadside assistance, delivery of tools, parts, gas, tow, and legal advice if needed.
